I called this smartphone "the behemoth". Fortunately Poco devices are gradually gaining entrance into the Nigerian market with the likes of Redmi and MI Brands all under the Xiaomi Brand making waves across the Atlantic and the coast of Africa. This device is a behemoth in a regalia of a wacky puppet.
My claim is basically on the flagship level Chipset used on a supposedly mid-ranger. How did POCO manage to pull this off considering the Price of this phone?
Sincerely this is a rear deal from any brand and I would recommend this device any-day and anytime to anyone who is ready to experience and explore the Flagship level performance on a budget.
Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro was officially released globally in March 2021 and I can categorically inform you that this device is readily available on Jumia and other stores nationwide.

CHIPSET OR MICROPROCESSOR
I was amazed to realise that the Snapdragon 860 was used on this smartphone. According to NANOREVIEW the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 is an 8-core chipset that was announced on April 7, 2019, and is manufactured using a 7-nanometer process technology. It has 1 core Cortex-A76 (Kryo 485 Prime) at 2960 MHz, 3 cores Cortex-A76 (Kryo 485 Gold) at 2420 MHz, and 4 cores Cortex-A55 (Kryo 485 Silver) at 1800 MHz. This Chipset can only be seen on flagship smartphones but cheers as Xiaomi has condescend to men of low estate. While the GPU is Adreno 640.
With this Chipset, the Poco X3 Pro is ready to handle whatever you would want to bring up to the gambling table. Be it Graphics designing, video editing processes, photography, gaming just to name a few would be handled adequately and smoothly by this processor.
PLATFORM/UI
The android version on this smartphone is the Android 11 operating system build on the fluid and juicy MIUI 12.5 custom skin. Right now this device optimization and multitasking abilities just got interesting. Xiaomi are really working on their MIUI skin to eliminate all traces of bugs and shinanigans as seen in the previous versions of the User Interface (UI). It comes with an improved Ram management, fluidity, optimization, battery life, multitasking abilities etc. Other interesting features include Second space, video toolbox, game turbo, floating window, ultra battery saving mode and so on. You would definitely love MIUI as it leaves users in awesome mood.
Least I forget, Xiaomi has included a feature called virtual Ram on the latest MIUI 12.5 ENHANCED UPDATE. This feature is to allow users increase their phones Ram size by allocating or allotting some internal storage space in GB to be used as RAM. For example you can be permitted to add a virtual RAM of up to 4GB. If that is done, it means your smartphone with a 6GB of RAM would automatically have a 10GB of RAM . Isn't this feature cool? Presently brands like Samsung, oppo, Realme are gradually adopting this same feature on mostly their flagship smartphones.

STORAGE/RAM
In this department I would say that nothing freaks me out that much because of the fact that the memory configurations used on this device is becoming a norm across all brands these days. Poco x3 pro has the usual RAM size of 6GB, which would be enough for an average user even to some length the heavy users. Attached to this Ram is an Internal Storage Capacity of at least 128GB. This storage capacity should also be enough for day to day activities but in case you need more storage space I'll suggest you obtain an SD card.
DISPLAY
Since 2019 it seems Xiaomi adoption of 6.67 inch Display has become a thing that would stick around for a long time. Devices like the Redmi Note 9S and Pro and mostly Redmi note 10 Series, Poco X3 NFC, Xiaomi 10T and 11T series just to mention a few are all beneficiaries of this same screen size. To be honest am using a device with this same screen size currently and I can tell you that this screen size is not bad at all as it is at the average point of interest. It would be useful to all and sundry.
As mentioned above the smartphone comes in 6.67 inches size and the display is IPS LCD that provides 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. I think the price is at the level it is now because of the LCD screen type used. Amoled screen would have been preferable since the likes of Redmi note 10 Series all came in with an Amoled screen type. Please note that the presence of Amoled screens on smartphones drastically inflates their prices in the Market. Although the Poco X3 Pro came with an LCD SCREEN, the display looks premium with a high 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a (395 PPI) density.
Interestingly, the screen of the device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. This is an example of what Xiaomi can offer you at no extra cost which other brands cannot. A gorilla glass 6 on your screen means that you can be rest assured that nothing can crack or even break your screen easily even without a screen protector. Xiaomi has really done pretty well on this because even flagship level smartphones doesn't have this protection on their expensive screens.
Additional features includes a support for a 450 nits typ. brightness (as advertised) making the device to be usable under a direct sunlight which gives amazing viewing experience. But not the brightest though.
MAIN CAMERA and SELFIE CAMERA
POCO had to cut down cost at some point. I knew this would occur before hand and I was waiting patiently to see from what angle it will materialize from. The rear camera consists of a 48 MP (wide) + 2 MP (macro) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2 MP depth sensor lenses that helps to produce pictures with professional experience. Although am a bit disappointed with the camera megapixel size (Honestly I was expecting at least a 64MP camera based on the Chipset used) used, but needless to say that the 48MP really performed impressively. If you are coming from let say 13MP to 30MP Camera you would really appreciate the output of this camera lens. Even those that have experienced the 64MP can still sacrifice to use this 48MP camera because of the UI optimization. The pictures were really nice to behold.
The front camera has a 20 MP sensor which is great considering the fact that even some flagship uses same camera megapixel on their devices. The photos were crispy and cool but needs improvement though probably with future updates.
SECURITY
Poco X3 Pro is equipped with sensors such as Fingerprint (side-mounted) which is very fast and responsive at 98%. It also has accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. The smartphone features Infrared port used for remote control of electronics devices, USB 2.0 Type C, FM Radio, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Other features include the face unlock which is pretty fast but less secured. I would not advice Anyone else to use this feature on their phones. To avoid any of your siblings unlocking your phone.
BATTERY
The smartphone is fueled by a Non-removable Li-Po 5160 mAh battery. Could you imagine this? This battery juice or capacity coupled with the power efficient processor and well optimized UI would greatly add up SOT (SCREEN ON TIME) on this device. It actually did because on heavy usage this phone took 13 hours while on light usage it exceeded the 24 hour mark with just a few hours.
This phone was fabricated with a Fast charging ability of up to 33W. Mehn, you will be saying goodbye to charging speed delays. Within an hour, the battery was filled up from 0% - 100% Is this not impressive? It is sincerely.
BUILD QUALITY
Furthermore, one thing that put me off on this phone anytime I sites it is the horrible design by POCO. What were they thinking? A design with no class and attractions when seen from afar. The POCO branding across the device from the bottom to the top speaks volume and am not down with it. Moreso , the device is having a curvy back design that isn't flat or just straight. The camera bump is another issue on its own though. In all, the design language is little below average and am pissed off with that. Its like preparing a delicious meal and enclosing it into a dirty dish.
COLOURS
Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro (6gb+128gb) is available in different colors like Metal Bronze, Phantom Black and Frost Blue. All of these colours are vibrant and noticeable.
PRICE
This phone is currently retailing for NGN 130k on Jumia black Friday could you imagine? Hell this phone can be sold above 200k and it'll still retain its performance to price ratio. The processor used on this device alone could have swallowed up the 130k already. How did POCO manage to pull this off? I think this is a bonus smartphone given on a platter. We have plethora of inferior devices considerably sold above this device's price point and users are pleasurably purchasing them.
This is a very very good buy if you opt to purchase this Smartphone as deals of this sort are hard to come by.

Ladies and gentlemen based on the features as seen above, I can categorically affirm to you that IF you are interested in performance above fancy, Battery life and charging speed above mediocrity, protection above disaster, fluidity and optimization above bugs then opt for this device. It's not even as if the design is that bad. The back is still a cunning gorilla glass 6.
